Oh these boys are just too hilarious!! It is amazing how much little Aussie is similar to Jadon. In looks, mannerisms, vocal volume and how he wears his heart on his sleeve. They both (like their mama) get so stinking frustrated at themselves when they just can’t get 100% perfection! 99.9% just isn’t good enough! Poor little guys! Sorry ~ that will be my fault!! Brock and Steve will just coast through life getting a kick out of Mom, Jadon and Aussie trying to make it all happen…. oh well. One of my favorite things Aussie has been doing lately is how he says, Play. Don’t stand too close or you will get sprayed as he puts his tongue between his lips and sprays, I mean says, “p-p-p-p-p-p-LAY!”. So cute to see as his whole face lights up when its time to play!!
Does anything else exist to a 5 year old boy other than Star Wars?? We had a quick glimpse at Indiana Jones and then it was back to the Big SW baby!! Over the past few months, this little guy has truly been growing into his own little person. He has left Buzz Lightyear and his beloved Baby Dog behind (sniff sniff – kinda sad for Mom) and has moved onto bigger and better things. He is an AMAZING big brother. His ability to lead and be responsible has truly blown my socks off. A & B really look up to their big brother. They look at him with such adoration. The other day when we went to the park, I asked Jadon to hold Brockie’s hand while crossing the parking lot. Not only did he take responsibility for Brockie, but as Austin and I rounded the car to meet them, he immediately took Austin’s free hand to assist him as well. These are the little things that make their mama smile. I also love how Jadon talks to them. So sweetly…. Anyway, we are enjoying Jadon as one of us now ~ one of the big people in the Berg household.
Oh my gosh, these boys are so cute!! It truly amazes me how much little people can show affection to one another…. so innate…. I have got to start sharing my thoughts and feelings as we go through this process of parenting Jadon, Austin and Brock as it is going by so quickly. I am sure every parent feels the same way, but I am absolutely amazed at how precious our boys are! The joy they bring is indescribable. I now know why my parents would tell me how precious I was to them at the weirdest times…. anyway, enough about me … I want to jot down some things about our boys: It is so precious how much Brock looks after Austin. He always makes sure Austin is included in what ever he is doing and cries for Austin if he can’t be found (You would think that when he gets one-on-one time he would relish it. But he doesn’t. He immediately calls for Austin so he can experience it with his twin brother). He cocks his little head to the side as he faces Austin and grins as big as he can and says,”Aussie Aussie!!”. Just recently he learned how to say ‘Austin’… so cute. In fact they both recently learned how to say Jadon. It comes out as ‘Ehden‘ and already Jadon is their hero! Austin also recently learned how to say Brockie. He actually sounds French when he says his name as it is really gutteral, “Boghie”. I think for the past several months he thought both of their names were Aussie as he would look at Brock and say, “Aussie” in his loud and booming voice (yep we have another fog-horn!! Poor Steve and Brock will have to deal with us 3 foggies for a long time!!). These boys play together, wrestle each other, tickle each other, share a language together, and truly adore each other. This is what they were talking about when they said that twins bring a double blessing.
Jadon, Heather and I took a trip up to Seattle to hang with some mates from the East Side! It was tons of fun and I took about a million pictures too. They can all be found here!

Here’s the latest set of photos I’ve uploaded. We went out to a state park in the Santa Cruz mountains for a ‘mini-hike’ and Jadon got the climb on the rocks and run around in the forest while Austin and Brock got to enjoy the sweet sounds of the great outdoors!

I know I’m going a little picture crazy at the moment, but I’m on vacation so I have lots of time on my hands!! Yesterday we went off to hang out in McMinville, Oregon with Heather’s Dad and family! Needless to say we had a blast and got some super pictures as well!
Let me firstly say… wow… how time flies! I can’t believe Austin and Brock are already 4 months old! Not to mention big brother Jadon is now 4 and a half!! A & B are sleeping VERY well at the moment which means Heather and I are getting a little more rest and are able to actually see the light of day now! Okay so maybe not 2 months yet but pretty close! It’s been a long time since I’ve had a quick moment to sit down and update the website, but it’s Saturday afternoon and Jadon is in bed and Austin and Brock are sleeping for a brief moment! Heather and Karen are out doing something girly and I’m here watching England v Wales (Rugby) and uploading photos!
We weighed the twins this morning and Brock is now 12lbs and little Austin is just a little behind at 11lbs 4. So they are quickly growing up! Sleep is still pretty erratic but we’re getting a few hours strung together during the night, but definitely ready for a FULL nights sleep!
